Our day tour from Akaroa picks you from Akaroa Wharf and takes you through Banks Peninsula to Christchurch. Enjoy the views over Canterbury Plains and the countryside we pass through (lakes , volcanoes, mountains, harbours etc.). You will see the highlights of Christchurch (Botanic Gardens, Canterbury Museum, The Arts Centre etc.) and find out about the Feb. 2011 earthquake and our rebuilding process. We return through the countryside. Learn out about NZ history , the Maori and the people who live here. Options include the Antarctic Centre, Wilowbank (zoo with kiwi, NZ birds etc). NZ$110 p.p.
